diagmond 100% cpu usage

Few days ago I noticed that diagmond cpu usage climbed to 100%. What can be the cause?
Thank you.

Re: diagmond 100% cpu usage

Hi Olga,

High CPU usage by diagmond when NO error activity is actually occurring is a known problem.

Patches are available as follows:

for 11.x => PHSS_20007
10.2 S800 => PHSS_20006
10.2 S700 => PHSS_20005

Re: diagmond 100% cpu usage

You need these patches ..
PHSS_20005 (for s700 10.20)
PHSS_20006 (for s800 10.20)
PHSS_20007 (for s700_800 11.0)

They are all STM panic, diagmond patches.
For now you can stop and start diagnostics to restart diagmond.

# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop
# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic start

Monitor diagmond, and if it gets "cranky" again, apply the patch asap.

Re: diagmond 100% cpu usage

Hi
Upgrade the online diagnostics to later than Sep01 with relevant patches.

Thanks
Prashant.
Take it as it comes.

Re: diagmond 100% cpu usage

Thanks to all.
I will try to apply those patches, but I am not sure why it did not require those patches last week.
