Dial Up Access Help

Hi,

I would like to how to get system access after dialing in from windows modem to L server modem.

I can see dial-up is connected, but I do not have way to access to the system.

I just need pure serial connection. What do I need from these on, ppp, slip, or something.... on L server?

A pure serial connection is a simple terminal connection. You enable the modem with SAM or by editing /etc/inittab, then do NOT use dialup networking on the PC (which is PPP). Instead, use Hyperterminal and connect using a COM connection.

Note: A simple dialup modem connection is not secure so the server will be at risk with the simple modem connection.
