Difference between VCS and MC Serviceguard
Hi,
I was asked this question "Difference between VCS and MC Serviceguard" in one of my recent interviews and I did not have much to say. Can anyone give me more info on this please.

Re: Difference between VCS and MC Serviceguard
have you worked on VCS?
if you have worked its fine, else if you learn 3-4 differece it would get you in more trouble if interviewer ask anything more about it.
So learn the difference you should either work ro really learn how VCS works.

Re: Difference between VCS and MC Serviceguard
Hi Kapil,
Thanks for the response. I've sure worked on VCS and my understanding is that the heartbeat between the nodes plays a major role in failover situation. Is this not what happens with the SG too. Please clarify. If possible can you send me links to docs which can give me more basic details on how both SG and VCS works.
