Different look for Big Brother output?
Hi,
We like the price (free) and functionality of Big Brother, but would like to change the look of the output. For example, display only one system per screen and use icons rather than colored squares.
So, two questions.
(1) Is it possible to modify the HTML generated by BB on the client system, or
(2) does anyone know of an "operations manager" program (preferably free) that intercepts BB output and allows tailoring it a bit more?
TIA

Re: Different look for Big Brother output?
it's been a time since I used bigbrother, but:
1) would (to my knowledge: only) be achiveable by grouping every host by it's own.
2) never ran accross one.
In the last project, BB was dropped in favour of Nagios, which I personaly like and dislike at the same time: It's a lot faster when monitoring a lot of hosts, and it's a complete mess configuration-wise. Until now, there are many different frontends for configuration, which all just don't do the job.
I'm now thinking about giving zabbix (www...com) a try, it just looks a lot more professional than BB and nagios, but I have the advance of being able to switch my monitoring system every day. :)
my memories of big brother are quite dim, to be honest, have You looked in the C source files for the cgi's - You might be able to easily it's appearance in there.

yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.
