Hi,
I would like to host a DNS based telephone directory service ( using TXT , RP etc ). So
that I can access the DNS server's data using some scrips with resolver functions anywhere on the network. ( crude idea ...)

Ideas for client side and server side welcome.

Why not use LDAP?

It's pretty easy to setup and queries are a piece of cake.
