Disk monitoring
Hi Team,
We have build a server recenlty with hp-ux 11.31.We configured the vgs in persistent mode. There are 2 paths for each LUN.As part of testing we have unmasked one path of the LUN.But we didnt received any alerts on syslog. This can lead to a downtime as we are not getting any notification that server is running with single path.
EMS is also not getting updated
Do we need to do any extra modification for this.

Re: Disk monitoring
Hi,
Any possibility for still accessing disks from both paths?
Type "ioscan -m lun" and "ioscan -P health" to sure you don't see the disks.
When testing you can also try to pull back fiber cable or disable FC card or disable switch port...

Re: Disk monitoring
Hi ,
I have verified that the luns are not shoing in ioscan. In "ioscan -P health" the status of corresponding "disk" is showing as "limited"
