HP D-Class uses fastwide highvoltage hotswap harddisk .Are you using any disk station or disk array.along with server

Now your D-class may have a SCSI-2 SE (single-ended) interface card where you can hook additional disks. Note that trying to hookup brand new disks to an old server may be electrically compatible but your version of HP-UX may not support the much larger disks (72Gb and larger).
