Hi Jerry,

Looks like you have a faulty disk at 10/0.5.0 this should be the internal disk in the server cabinet. Do a complete ioscan (ioscan -fn) and see if something shows up at 10/0.5.0 . Also try to do a diskinfo for /dev/rdsk/c4t5d0 and see if something shows up

diskinfo -v /dev/rdsk/c4t5d0

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi Jerry:

This is pretty classic. You have a dead drive.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Try doing lssf and diskinfo on this disk and see what exactly has happened. Sometimes even if the disk is bad, it will still show up ioscan. If it is a bad disk, replace it with a new one and do a vgcfgrestore and restore the data from the backup.

Sounds like you have a bad drive. Hopefully this is just a mirror of one of the other disk (probably c6t5d0). Replace the disk and resync the mirrors (if necessary).

Be careful with these ST34572WC drives!!
We have 2 dead drives this year.
And exactly after end of 3 year hardware support.

And, BTW, these disks have some problem - it is not possible to save crash-dump on these drives. This is a known problem.

NT is faster from 0 to 60, but you need UNIX to get to 100
