DLD.SL error

When I try to start netscape I receive and error message "/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: fpsetmask (code) from /opt/netscape/netscape"
I realize that the DLD.SL is different on that machine and I would like to konw how can I update the DLD to be the same as my other HP station.

Re: DLD.SL error

Hi Vincent,

I don't think problem is with dld.sl cause dld.sl is like dynamic link library (DLL) loader in windows when program is dynamic link.
problem is it cannot find routine fpsetmask that should be in some library , Then please try to re-install netscape.

Regards,

Re: DLD.SL error

The problem only occurred in user account, but if I were to use root account to run /opt/netscape/netscape, it works fine. So, I don't think by re-installing netscape will solved my problem

Re: DLD.SL error

Hi!

Is SHLIB_PATH set to something? If so, first unset it, and start netscape again.

Hope this helps, Thomas

Re: DLD.SL error

Login as the netscape user, then type env.
Login as root, type env, and note any changes
in PATH, SHELL, etc.

Make the variables match, and re-run.
