I have just installed a DLT8000 on my K260 system. I tested the device and successfully backed up a number of files.
I inserted a scratch tape which had been used previously on a DLT4000. When the system attempted to run the nightly backup it rejected the tape and complained that it had been used more than 100 times.
Why did this happen? Is there anything that I can do to prevent this from occurring again with other tapes?
Many thanks in advance for your response ... Bob

Re: DLT 8000 will not write to tape more than 100 times .....
Hi,
Currently HP is upgrading firmware version of DLT8000 drive. No down time required. You may contact HP support for this upgrade.
But I am not sure whether it will solve your problem or not.

Did you take a backup?
