Re: DLT drive issue

ioscan -fn and insf -ev -Ctape

Do you see any device files?

Re: DLT drive issue

you may have to add the stape driver to your kernel, post an ioscan, and your /stand/system file here
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: DLT drive issue

Hi,

# cd /dev
# ioscan -fn >/tmp/ioscan.out1
# insf -e
# ioscan -fn >/tmp/ioscan.out2
View the files and compare.

If this didn't work, compile the kernel once again and reboot

Re: DLT drive issue

Hi,
The tape driver (stape) is not by default added to the kernel when installing HP-UX. You have to add the driver and create a new kernel.
