I am doing a system migration and the current system has a SureStor40 DLT drive (it is a D class server). I will moving its application to a N class server and also wanted to move the DLT drive (this server currently has 2 DLT drives).
Dose anyone know of a problem doing this?
thanks

Re: DLT drives
As long as you change the SCSI id so you don't have duplicates, then you will be fine!

Re: DLT drives
Hi,
You may have to get the proper cable for connecting it to the N class. Also take care about the terminators and the SCSI ids.
HTH,
Shiju

Solution
Hi Dottie:
If your 4/40 is attached to a D-box I'm sure it is using the HVD SCSI interface which is not compatible with the LVD SCSI interfaces standard in N-boxes. You have two choices, you can replace the 4/40 HVD interface with an LVD version or (and probably easier) get an HVD SCSI controller for your N-box (A4800A - single port or A5159A dual port). Do not connect it without doing this.
Regards, Clay
