DLT8000 & Make_recovery
I have a DLT 8000 connected to a bunch of L-Class servers. Are you able to tell me if I can do make_tape_recovery's to this type of DLT Tape drive.

Re: DLT8000 & Make_recovery
Yes you can, but first make sure you have the latest version of ignite:
http://software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
And if you aren't too comfortable with my answer go search on docs.hp.com for your OS 11.00 or 11i (11.11).

Re: DLT8000 & Make_recovery
It should but it depends on the interface that is being used.
See these:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/docs/release_note_A.3.5.html
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/docs/release_note_B.3.5.html
See this information from an ignite newsletter:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/components/FileAttachment/0,,0x3c8a06295e00d6118ff40090279cd0f9,00.txt
Have you daisy-chained these or stand-alone? If stand-alone, should be no problem.
Cheers
Michael

Re: DLT8000 & Make_recovery
There are 3 L-Class servers in a MC/Service Guard environment.

Re: DLT8000 & Make_recovery
The newsletter link I gave before states that it will work from a FWD interface. If your using the narrow-SE SCSI it won't work, but if your using the ultra-2 or a A4800A should be no problem.
