Hello, I have a problem with a DLT8000 tape drive connected to a HP 10.20 box, in SAM this and a DDS3 internal drive are using a tape2 driver; any operation that I try to do, I get a I/O error, the machine as another internal DDS3 drive, this one is using stape driver and is working fine. How can I change the driver for the DDS3 and the DLT8000 drive from tape2 to stape, assuming this is the problem for the I/O error.
Thanks
Thanks

SolutionIn your /stand/system file specifty the driver, stape, and the path of your tape devices you want this driver to use, eg;
stape 10/5/2.0
stape 8/8/0.4.0
Then build a new kernel and reboot.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...
