dmisp process
Hi,
Does anyone could say me, what is used the dmisp process??
I have one server with 11.11 and this process is working a lot of, its eats a lot of cpu:
-----
Load averages: 3.27, 3.34, 3.34
144 processes: 116 sleeping, 28 running
Cpu states:
LOAD USER NICE SYS IDLE BLOCK SWAIT INTR SSYS
3.27 88.1% 0.0% 11.9% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0%
Memory: 331004K (269420K) real, 849120K (738972K) virtual, 92720K free Page# 1/8
TTY PID USERNAME PRI NI SIZE RES STATE TIME %WCPU %CPU COMMAND
? 1072 root 152 20 1596K 1460K run 39386:12 55.58 55.48 dmisp
? 10236 oracle 154 20 31936K 2284K sleep 0:40 9.68 9.66 oracleorac

hi,
dmisp is the Desktop Managment Interface which is part of SIM.
check /var/dmi/log for errors relating to this and if necessary stop and start it:
# /sbin/init.d/Dmisp stop
# /sbin/init.d/Dmisp start
