DNS process getting Killed
I am running bind 9.2 on Hp Ux 11.0, The process gets killed very frequently, and every time i need to start th eprocess. What could be the reason. Thanx.

Both server ips are different. The problem has never come in past but now days it is very much frequent. thnx

You might want to consider applying DNS-related patches on your server. Was there anything in syslog.log?

Do you get any errors in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log? Or any core files?
What version are you running?
$ what /usr/sbin/named
If you dont have the latest version of bind I would suggest downloading and installing it from software.hp.com there have been several fixes for abort situations. You can update bind 9.2 to its latest revision w/ out making any configuration changes and w/ out rebooting. You should restart named.

I hv apllied the patches and as of today there was no problem. But Still monitoring for the same. Thnx all of you guys for helping.
