Re: Do I need ToolTalk ?
this will will tell you how to deal with it.
do a ps -ef | grep ttdb
i believe this is rpc.ttdbserver is the tooltalk database server. 10.20 does not require that the tooltalk daemon be running for functionality.

SolutionDo it here.
/etc/rc.config.d/netconf
or the ipconfig command for temporary changes.
Sam sometimes makes "mistakes" that can cause your network configuration to go haywire.
You can set lots of different ip addresses ont he same card. Attached is an example netconf file that shows multiple ip addresses on the same subnet on one LAN card.
Its pretty easy to understand. Others will attest to the ability of Sam to makes mistakes sometimes.

Re: Do I need ToolTalk ?
You can also use
# set_parms ip_address
to set the ip address for the server.
Kind regards,
Robert-Jan.
