Just look for white papers in the page. there are lot more. I do not think there is one for cpu / memory or something specifically along those lines. You may be able to find one on performance though.

There are actually some very good white papers in the 10.x release section that provide considerable background. In particular, you will find some good papers in the "System Administration" whitepapers section on process management and mamory management.

Check the chapter#16 LVM , of The "Recovery Hand Book"--> Available under Knowledge tree section of itrc , and needs Ssytem Handle.

It contains details , and all the things well covered.
