Does HP have a "NFS caching proxy" product ?
Hi,
Does anyone know if HP has a "NFS caching proxy" product ?
Following are the functional requirements from this product:
* Global name space (MUST)
- Set of caching proxies that all know about each other, with each trusting the others for cross-mounts, each managing a piece of a global namespace. Distributed management ??? each site supports it???s own part of the space.
- Automatic propagation of global name space changes
* Group and username mapping (MUST)
- Site1\group1 = Site2\group5
- 1x1, 1xN, Nx1, wildcards
- Default mappings
* NFSv2/NFSv3 support with full semantics (MUST)
- NFSV4 future capablity
- Locking support nice to have
* Policy Based Caching (MUST)
- Don???t cache tree/file/site/user/group???
- Limit cache size by tree/file/site/user/group???
- Control over algorithm for purging cached data
* Policy Based QOS (DESIRED)
- WAN priority to remote proxy A over remote proxy B
Thanks,
Ron.
