I have an image created with ignite-ux on HP-UX 10.20. I need to put this image onto the machines on a private network remote from the network containing the ignite server. I cannot set one of those machines up as an Ignite server.
I think I have three options:
1. I can physically take the workstation with the ignite server to the remote location (messy and heavy!).
2. Persuade someone to pay (a lot) for a PrecisionBook laptop and install an ignite server on that (a good idea but cost is prohibitive).
3. Install Linux on a pc laptop and install ignite-ux on that. Theres the rub - can ignite-ux be installed on Linux? Does any one know?
Thanks - Keith

Solution
Keith,
Ignite is only available for the different HP-UX versions.
Why don't you create a Ignite tape (DAT, DLT) of the server you want to replicate. Then take the drive and tape with you and boot from the tape. You still can change the network and disk configuration in the advanced setup from there on. Drawback is that you have to walk from server to server with the tape drive and tape.
