doesn't find gateway...
I have exactly same two servers(rx7620).
Server A is working fine but server B cannot even ping gateway...
Then I copied and set exact same info from A to B. Still doesn't want to work.
Is there way to wipe out network setting instead of reinstalling OS?

Re: doesn't find gateway...
hi,
Please review your network configuration using:
1. set_parms ip_address
This will allow you to set or change the primary IP address of the system. Note that an IP address change will require a system reboot to take effect. This process edits the /etc/hosts file to associate the new IP address with the current hostname. In multiple lan systems, it assumes that the IP address is being changed for the lowest numbered IP address/Lan Interface Card data set in the /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file.
2. set_parms addl_netwrk
This will allow you to set the subnet mask, which defines the network and local portions of a network address, the default routing gateway, and define access to the Domain Name System (DNS) and Network InformationService (NIS). Normally, a reboot is required for everything to take effect in the non-first-boot case.
hope this helps!
good luck
kind regards

Re: doesn't find gateway...
Hi,
you can also use SAM to configure.
However if your setting are the same, I would also investigate the possibility of hardware problem, such as faulty cable/socket or network card. I assume you have a valid ip-addrss for both servers, recognised by DNS.
