Don't have the required permissions to perform this SD operation.
I want to install a patch form our software depot. This depot resides on a
other node. When I try to specify the source depot path I get the following
error on the client :
You don't have te required permissions to perform this SW operation. Please
check to see that you have the required permissions using the swacl command.
The server is running on 11.00 and the client on 10.20
TIA,
Willy Schriemer

Re: Don't have the required permissions to perform this SD operation.
Also Register the depot to make it available to remote hosts:
# swreg -l depot /pathname
Try restarting swagentd :
# rm /var/adm/sw/products/swlock (if it exists)
# /usr/sbin/swagentd -r &
Cheers

Re: Don't have the required permissions to perform this SD operation.
You have to add the permissions for the root user on the target machine:
swacl -l root -M user:root@controller:crwit
swacl -l host -M user:root@controller:crwit
controller - machine you use to run swinstall command.
Also check man swacl for more information

Mateja

Re: Don't have the required permissions to perform this SD operation.
This is frequently caused by the swagentd.
Bouncing it as T.M. has suggested will solve your problem.
