Doubt about the password

Doubt about the password

Hi.

Is there any way to change the password in UNIX without the conditions?
I mean, without the password's security:
"Password must contain at least two alphabetic characters and
at least one numeric or special character.",
"Password too short - must be at least 6 characters", etc.
To put a pass like "home" or "superviser".

Until now only root can do that.

My OS is HP-UX B.11.31

Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

Re: Doubt about the password

Shalom,

No, only the root user can break password rules.

You may be able to change the rules for the user by using smh

smh

users and groups
select user.

Use the menus.

Re: Doubt about the password

Hello,

If you want to break the rules, you can.
Admin can modify these files, for example:

/etc/default/security
/etc/security.dsc

Bad idea to decrease security levels, but the
choice is yours!
