DRD: removing a clone
drd clone -t /dev/dsk/c1t15d0
I now wish to remove the clone so that I can use the disk for something else. I do not wish to remove the DRD product since I will likley clone again in the near future.
How do I safely remove a clone?

Re: DRD: removing a clone
For example, you could "pvcreate -f /dev/rdsk/c1t15d0" and then proceed just like with a new disk.

Re: DRD: removing a clone
After doing, the command: "drd status" is deceiving showing the "old" disk as being the clone and a hint indicating an issue with the EFI partition ("Boot loader and AUTO file missing"). The command iteslf completes with a "Displaying DRD Clone Image Information succeeded."
I was hoping for something a little tidier with no trace of the "old" disk or confusion.
Thanks.

Re: DRD: removing a clone
It will treat the disk like repartitionning.

Re: DRD: removing a clone
Once You perform "pvcreate -f" has been done, All Your Clone disk volume header and VBDA information has been erased or removed from the disk,
Now can use the disk ,for something else which you intend to do,
Thanks,
Johnson

Re: DRD: removing a clone
It is safe to remove the clone.
If you want the full procedure,
it is as follows:
# lvrmboot -s drd00
# lvremove -f /dev/drd00/lvol2
# lvrmboot -d lvol3 /dev/drd00
# lvremove -f /dev/drd00/lvol3
# lvrmboot -r drd00
# lvremove -f /dev/drd00/lvol4
# vgremove drd00
Cheers,
