Driver problem with network interface (A6825-60101)
I just added 2 new LAN interfaces (HP model: A6825-60101 / Real model: 3C996B-T) on a L2000 machine running HPUX 11.00.
My problem is that after the boot the cards are not recognised properly. In fact if I do an ioscan for the specific phisical location I see:
[cs9t1bhb:root](/) ioscan -H 0/1/0/0
H/W Path Class Description
=======================================
0/1/0/0 unknown PCI Ethernet (14e41645)
[cs9t1bhb:root](/) ioscan -H 0/5/0/0
H/W Path Class Description
=======================================
0/5/0/0 unknown PCI Ethernet (14e41645)
I imagine that I don't have the right driver installed for using the Gb (other network adapters running at 100 Mb are working correctly on the server).
Does anybody know the right steps to configure these cards correctly ? (where to download the latest drivers etc.)
Thanks very much in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Daniel Hubeli
P.S.
I will attach the output of swlist just in case it could help

Re: Driver problem with network interface (A6825-60101)
Here you have to doc of the card
http://docs.hp.com/en/J5683-90001/J5683-90001.pdf
You need to add the driver igelan to your kernel. I can't find the driver for 11.00 for the moment

Re: Driver problem with network interface (A6825-60101)
Unfortunately in the "kernel configuration" I couldn't find igelan driver to include and so I think I should install it from the CD.
Just another question. If I install the driver from the CD how should I patch it ? The latest "quality pack" and patches are already installed. Should I reinstall them ?
Kind regards,
Daniel Hubeli

Re: Driver problem with network interface (A6825-60101)
Finally I downloaded the driver from here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=ch&prodTypeId=12883&prodSeriesId=239115&prodNameId=239117&swEnvOID=7&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ux-27542-1
Then I installed it with "swinstall", rebooted and now everything it's fine.
Bye,
Daniel
