DS2300 and HP-UX 11iv3

I need to upgrade my rp7410 to HP-UX 11iv3 from 11.11, and the RAID 4si card (A5856A) is listed as not supported after HP-UX 11.11.

This card is attached to a ds2300.

I am having a hard time determining what card if any will work on the rp7410 running HP-UX 11iv3 with a ds2300 disk system.

you could could swap the A5856A for the A7143A raid card

Are you sure the ds2300 is supported with that card?

Consider to use a "plain" SCSI HBA (e.g. A7173A) and connect the jbod. Use LVM to mirror your disks. Note that the jbod can only do u160 scsi.

Thanks Torsten, its an option, but not a great one considering I have 2 LUNS that are RAID5 on the existing config with the raid 4si card.

I am waiting for HP to get back to me on my options. May just bite the bullet and migrate the data to other storage.
