I have just installed a DTC 72MX to download it's configuration from an N class server 11.00. I now have a DTC> prompt. What needs to be down so I get a login: prompt from my N.

Hi Shawn,
Try ? at the DTC prompt for help. I dopn't know anything about DTC, but anyway give it a try. While you are at ir, try "telnet server_ip" or "rlogin server_ip"

Solution
To obtain a login in the terminal:
# dtcconfig
Select Modify DTC configuration
enter the DTC name
Select the board and port to configure.
Press F5 and Select Configure Port Parameters ..., in the field Default destination enter the IP address of your server. Press F4 to accept.
Press F5 and select Enable Port Options ..., the next fields must be set:
Enable port
Enable Keep Alive
Enable Flow Control
press F4 to accept, F8 twice to quit.
#dtcreset dtcname board_number port_number
and go....
