DTC16TN in cluster configuration
Hi Folks,
I have 2 * rp3440 servers in serviceguard cluster. This setup is also going to have a DTC 16TN in cluster mode(I know this is old,but there are some dependencies and hence DTC cannot be done away with immediately)
I am trying to add this in the control script. The "using DTC Manager/UX" manual has some information about using the entries, which are different from what I actually found in the control script.
Entry in the manual,
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Example: The system, whose IP address 15.128.5.4, manages two DTCs
called, dtc1 and dtc2. The following entries must be in the package control
script:
DTC_IP[]=15.128.5.4
DTC_NAME[0]=dtc1
DTC_NAME[1]=dtc2
------------------------------------------------------------------
Entry in the control script,
-------------------------------------------------------------------
# DTC manager information for each DTC.
# Example: DTC[0]=dtc_20
#DTC_NAME[0]=
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which one is correct. I am sure somebody out there will have this configuration. If so please let me know what kind of an entry is required in the control script.
I have assigned an IP address to the DTC, assigned static IPs on each server LAN card and I have also reserved a floating IP (relocatable IP) for the DTC package.
I have made a single package with a floating IP associated with the shared disk. I have also included DTC floating IP as another monitored subnet. Is this correct? if not, somebody can guide me further.
I have already referred the manuals "using DTC manager/UX" and "managing serviceguard for A.11.16".
PLease help me. As usual, relevant will be rewarded with points.
With regards,
Mohan.

Re: DTC16TN in cluster configuration
Hi Folks,
looks like I am the only guy looking for such configuration. The lack of response shows.
I managed to configure the DTCs in the cluster using the information provided in the control.sh script. Including the name of the DTC was enough, no additional entries required.
After initial hiccups this worked for me.
