Re: Dual Boot
mkboot /dev/rdsk/c#t#d#
mkboot -a "phux -lq (;0)/stand/vmunix" /dev/rdsk/c#t#d#
You can interupt start and make it the alternate or primary boot path.
You can do an sea to find bootable devices.

Re: Dual Boot
Yes. If the devices are connected to the external scsi bus, when you boot interrupt when it is selecting the boot device. Then enter SEA to search for bootable devices. You should see the disks as well as cdroms and tape drives.

Re: Dual Boot
the only thing I'd like to add is that there have been several posts in the last few weeks where people have tried using various 3rd-party drives without success - the server doesn't see them as a valid device. So it might not work depending on the make/model of the drive.

Re: Dual Boot
Have a number of sites working like this, you can automate the boot up with the setboot command, that is you can, before rebooting the B-class, change the primary and alternate boot disks in the stable storage, saving you the hassle of having to interrupt the boot sequence.
Great if you are remote!
