Dual GBIC Failover Help?
We have a rp2470 with 2 GB cards. We are trying to directly attach it to a NetApp F810 NAS with 2 GB cards. We are not using a switch in between. I know that we cannot get aggregate bandwidth but I would like to be able to setup a failover configuration. I've installed APA but cannot seem to get this to work.
Has anybody ever setup a similiar config and could walk me through the steps to achive a GB failover connection between the two boxes?
We mount NFS filesystems on the server to the NAS.
Thanks again,
Greg

Re: Dual GBIC Failover Help?
Unless the NetAPP speaks either FastEther Channel (a Cisco protocol) or the standard LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol), you probably have to configure the aggregate for "manual"
And since you are connecting two systems back-to-back, you probably should select the "port based" (as in TCP or UDP ports) load balancing rather than the IP address or MAC-based load balancing.
