Re: Duda HP-UX 11.0
Hello Yolimar,
I'm not sure I understand your question, since I put your text through a Spanish translator, but it sounds like you're looking for a way to set expiration dates on passwords.
You mentioned Shadow Passwords, which HP-UX does support, but this feature is only available on HP-UX 11.11 and higher. The link for that product is:
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=ShadowPassword
If you can update to 11.11, that product is available for free download. If you need to stay on 11.0, you can still use password aging techniques to set expiration dates on passwords. The passwd(1) man page talks about the "-x" option for the passwd command, and contains an entire section on Password Aging.
Additionally, if you want tighter security on HP-UX 11.0, you can convert your system to a Trusted System. This can be done easily via SAM by going into the "Auditing and Security" section and selecting "Audited Users". SAM will prompt you to convert the system to Trusted mode, which gives you more options for securing the /etc/passwd contents.
I hope this is what you were looking for.
Regards,
Dave
