EASY fbackup question

Just being carefull. I'm doing a weekly level 0 and a daily level 1 backup. I'd like to know if I need to use the -u option on the level 1 backups. I'm using it on the level 0.
Here are the two commands:
fbackup -f /dev/rmt/1m -0u -g $GRAPH -I $BUINDEX

fbackup -f /dev/rmt/1m -1 -g $GRAPH -I $BUINDEX

As always, your colective help is appreciated.

Re: EASY fbackup question

Not necessary. You are not doing level 2 so it will not be a problem.
But I will use it anyway because it will not slow down you or give you any more trouble.

Re: EASY fbackup question

Yes you would want the -u option in the incremental backup so that the file /var/adm/fbackupfiles/dates get s updated with the time the backup start and end and its backup level. It does not change the outcome of the backup if you do not use it.
