EFI is Extended Firmware Interface. Its the HP-UX boot loader available on Integrity systems. Refer to http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-1247B/ch05s19.html?btnNext=next%A0%BB for more details.

Shalom,

EFI is the boot management software built into rx class IA-64 Itanium servers. It is not part of the OS. You configure it to boot the OS, tape or media depending on what need to get done.
