EISA MUX Card

Dear Expert,
I have one D390/2 server running on 10.20 and it have 64 ports EISA MUX cards. We plaining to upgrade the OS to ver.11.00 64bit. As I known the EISA MUX cards only support in ver.11.00 32bits OS.
Is the any way....beside to change the hardware to L or N class server....?
Please advise.......

Thanks

Re: EISA MUX Card

I don't think so. There doesn't exist a 64bit eisa kernel driver thus making it impossible for you to use the EISA Mux on 11.x/64bit.

To my knowledge there are technical (and not marketing) reasons behind the fact that we did not port the eisa driver to 64bit.

Re: EISA MUX Card

There are no EISA card drivers for 64bit 11.x, and there are no plans to create any.
You will have to change your cards to HSC, or run 32 bit, or change your server for a newer system that has the PCI cards that do support 64bit HP-UX.
