ems monitor config
How can I configure EMS not to monitor a Fibre Channel Adapter.? I need to upgade STM , but is there a config file I can edit to make EMS ignore the adapters?
Below is the output I am getting. Thanks
EMS Event Notification ------ Value: "MAJORWARNING (3)" for Resourc
e: "/adapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1" (Threshold: >= " 3") Execute the following command to ob
tain event details: /opt/resmon/bin/resdata -R 222232615 -r /adapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1 -n 2222
32584 -a
When I ran recomend command:
npsc1:/var/adm/syslog# dapters/events/FC_adapter/10_8.8.0.0.1 -n 222232584 -a <

To configure monitors use 'monconfig' utility

Re: ems monitor config
The attached document should assist. It is written purely for disabling tape monitors through EMS but the concept is the same. Instead of looking for the 'dm_tape' processes to teminate, look for 'dm_FCMS_adaptor'. Most of the work is done in /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig program which is all menu driven.
