Enable large Lun on HPUX 11.11

I have a 11.11 server where i have 8 LUNS, i want my server to see more than 8 LUNs ..
How do i do for my system to see all my LUNs..?

you are accessing diskarray through fibre channel?

Yes there's more than 8 LUNs and yes it's connected to Fibre Channel...

hi,
which disk array you are using.
which software you are using for managing luns.
i think you are using world wide name for giving permission of luns to each hosts.if yes you have to start the management software and assign the wwn of your host to the luns required.

note: if the other luns are already assigned to other hosts and under use ,don't give permission to this host also.it will lead to mismanagement of luns and cause of data loss.

The Luns are managed via "command view ESL", the server access to the ESL via a fiber channel router..
And i can't manage more than 8 luns...
is that due to Os or not..?

on the management window see the lun properties.find any wwn number is given to that or not.
find out the same diskarray is using by any other server.

the wwn are ok not use by another server..
it's just that i can't create more luns...
Certainly 'cause of HPUX limitation..?

post the following details.

1.which is the disk array.
2.how many disks are used in that and disk size.

3.are you using raid in that diskarray.
4.how many spare disks are assigned to spare pool in the array.

5. one luns size and the number of luns already existing.(find all luns are having same or different size )

HP UX does not have limitation of any limitation of 8 LUNs. I have EMC storgae and more then 20 luns are assign to this.

It's depend on Storage
