enabling port for ftp
but when i checked the service of inted is running,, and i checked in /etc/ftpd/ftpusers
i think the port is not enabled,,how to do it

This is not a useful problem description. It
does not say what you did, and it does not
say what happened when you did it. First:
uname -a
Then, it's usually helpful to show your
actual commands and their actual output.

this are the ports that you are need to access when you connect to the FTP:

check inetd.conf for ftpd entry and also ined.sec file.
