Enabling syslog forwarding

Hi All,
I have a central syslog server running on Red Hat Linux 9.0.It is able to accept syslog messages from other windows as well as linux boxes.Can anyone please let me know how do I configure HP-UX boxes to send its syslog messages to the Linux syslog server.

Re: Enabling syslog forwarding

Check out the man page for syslogd:

++++++++++++++++++quote+++++++++++++++++++++
The second part of each line describes where the message is to be logged if this line is selected. There are four forms:

+ A file name (beginning with a leading slash). The file is opened in append mode. If the file does not exist, it is created.

+ A host name preceded by an @ character. Selected messages are forwarded to the syslogd on the named host.

Shalom Sauvik,

I'm confirming Pete's answer.

It works on Linux for me on five world-wide servers and it should work fine for hpux.
