Error compiling mutt: configure: error: Compiler not ANSI compliant
Hi,
i received this message when i run the configure script. In the INSTALL readme, there is the following entry:
An ANSI C compiler (such as gcc) is required.
It's HP-UX 11.11, an there is only cc installed. Means that, that i have to install gcc ? Or need i options for the config script ?
Then i try the depot package from
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/Mail/mutt-1.4/
But it's only available for HP-UX 11.0. When i try to install this package, i receive the message, that he's missing the software object guile.guile-SHLIBS.
Any idea's ?
Thanks

Re: Error compiling mutt: configure: error: Compiler not ANSI compliant
Hi,
The default cc in HP-UX is not ANSI compliant.
It is used for compiling Kernel.
You will have to buy ANSI C packge from HP. or
use gcc open source compiler.
