Error during OTS installation : can't find /opt/langtools/libcomp.sl !!!

Hi,

During installation of OTS (OSI stack) kernel needs to be rebuilded. But at this moment a message explain that /opt/langtools/libcomp.sl is required.

I find this library on another system (pre-install by HP) : it seems to be installed with
Auxiliary-Opt.LANG-AUX fileset. Do you where I
can find this product ? Do you know this library ?

libcomp.sl is on 11.x only it is part of ucomp (optimizer).

I think patch : PHSS_19178

Patch Description: s700_800 11.00 +O4/PBO compiler cumulative patch contains this

You may need to reinstall one of the compilers to get the full Auxiliary-Opt fileset
from the Application CD's ?

The patch you need to install to get the fileset, with the library file included.

I use HPUX 11.00 installation CDs of november'99. I just install the system.

Do you know if this library is install with
a product or only with a patch ?

I think it comes with the install but it would be wise to patch : nb use the later patch number ...i see my suggestion has been superceeded.
