Hi all,
On a HP-UX server (11.11),
model 9000/800/rp8420
I got the error below in syslog file frequently:

What does this error mean?

Hi,

I believe you are using virtual partitions across ur system.

The messeage you are freqently could be because of contention for system resources from the various partitions in the complex. If these messages are received, retry the Instant Capacity operation.

Hi,

Try to restart the CIM server, it might work.

#cimserver -s
#cimserver

Now check the syslog.

Hi,

This kinda of error occurs if the PHDC on one of the cellboards gets stuck. Box in need of a firmware upgrade.

Please open a case with HP support and ask them to check the firmware and if it is up to date, to troubleshoot the problem further.
