error in syslog from samba

Hi, again. I've got samba (cifs9000 server) up and running on my server now, and I have gotten an error in the syslog. so far, it shows up, repeats in ten minutes, and then waits forty minutes, repeat cycle. I don't have any shares opened yet, since I'm still setting it up. the error is:

Feb 22 13:12:11 munix smbd[436]: Failed to set socket option SO_KEEPALIVE (Error
Bad file number)
Feb 22 13:12:11 munix smbd[436]: Failed to set socket option TCP_NODELAY (Error
Bad file number)

Has anyone seen this? I havn't seen anything in the samba documentation about it, and so far everything seems to be running fine. any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: error in syslog from samba

Mark,

check to see what version you have and for patches available. it's documented here as a bug:

http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba-technical/2000-April/023161.html

And I haven't found any answers for it either.

Looks like your not alone...

here is some information on the c file for that parameter.
