Hi,
can you cd onto /nfsdir and do a ls ?
If this does not work, have you tried restarting the nfs daemons.
# /sbin/init.d/nfs.core stop
# /sbin/init.d/nfs.server stop
# /sbin/init.d/nfs.core start
# /sbin/init.d/nfs.server start

Hi,
thanks for the update.
So you can connect across the nfs and see the remote machine.
Are there any new/old nfs fail messages, which would indicate perhaps more of an intermittent fault?

Is the mountd running on the NFS server?

rpcinfo -p Nfs_serv
