Hope everyone had a good weekend.
I was loading an SD bundle onto a 10.2 800 series server using SAM, when I encountered an error I've never seen before.
In essence make _kernel failed for:
ERROR: kernel too large to boot.
Actual: 13805042 bytes
Limit: 13580288 bytes
Does anyone know how I can adjust the boot limit of this kernel or if it is even possible?
If it is possible, I would like command line instructions on how to do this.
Thank you,
Kel

Re: ERROR: kernel too large to boot
Try this link,
http://us-support.external.hp.com/cki/bin/doc.pl/sid=cdd920fc00e8ee2ade/screen=ckiDisplayDocument?docId=200000024128221
You need the patch "PHKL_13032".
This patch has been superceded by patch "PHKL_14280 ",
http://us-support.external.hp.com/wpsl/bin/doc.pl/screen=wpslDisplayPatch/sid=d652ee8f0480d6a99a?PACH_NAM=PHKL_14280
Hope this helps.

SolutionHere is a thread to a document with your problem. The basis of the fix is the SZLIMIT parameter in /usr/conf/gen/config.sys file is not able to handle larger than 13.5mb for kernel size.
Follow the instructions in the document to make the change.
Good luck.
FG.
