Did you check /etc/shutdownlog?

Re: error meesage

Hi Navin:

You might want to examine the shell history files for 'root' and any other accounts that have been granted the ability to issue a 'shutdown' or 'reboot' command.

Re: error meesage

it may be because of hardware problems. have a look at hardware logs from management console.

can someone run shutdown command ?

Re: error meesage

what do the MP logs say ?

What model server is this. There was a really really old issue with rp7420s rebooting randomly with little or no log error.

MP firware update fixes this, or was it a PDC FW update ?

Re: error meesage

Hi

Please check /var/adm/syslog/OLDsyslog.log also for any panic or shutdown command.

Also check event logs.
(/var/opt/resmon/log/event.log)
any new softwares installed recently ? any performance degrage after reboot?
