Re: error message from syslogfile

Hi,
normally nothing to worry, unless the frequency increases, which could indicate corrput memory module.

Re: error message from syslogfile

What's the exact message you are seeing? What system type and version of HP-UX?

If it's from the OnlineDiags, I suspect you do not have a current version, since individual SBEs are not reported anymore, in which case I'd recommend upgrading to the current version. With a current version, a message about an SBE would be serious, and require replacement of the faulty parts (the message should say all this).

Re: error message from syslogfile

Hello Rajendra

May be you are talking about Memory single bit error.

Well if its frequency is less then no need to worry because it will corrected automatically.

But you have to check your PDT entries through mstm. if its full then

contact HP for replacing required memory slot.
