When I am login to my HP server as a root I am getting an error message " Environment variable NMSROOT not defined" this started from yesterday only up to that time there was no error. And I did not change anything on the server either.

Re: Error message when loging to server
Have a look at this site http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cwparent/cw1/cwgs/58024.htm
Looks like a variable for CiscoWorks isn't being set. Maybe the profile was modified?
Hope this helps,

Re: Error message when loging to server
Are you running Ciscoworks? Was it restarted yesterday? I would start there and see if anyone has restarted it or has changed that variable.
