error on rp3440

Dear all
below the error on rp3440 server on when installed the os(HP-UX) throught dvd rom

The system is now preparing to dump physical memory to disk, for use
*** in debugging the crash
please advice me to correct solution

What version of the OS.

The firmware requirement for 11i v2 or v3 is higher than v1 and may be the cause of your problem.

Forget it!

11.00 will not run on this server.

Only 11.11, 11.23 or 11.31 will.

Hi Bharat,

rp3440 uses a newer chipset, which requires HP-UX 11.11 or above to work. HP has not made any drivers or HW enablement patches for 11.0 to support the chipset used in rp3440.

Because 11.0 is now out of support, HP is not going to make any enablement patches for it in the future either.

I assume you meant the even older 10.20 here.

I have never seen 11.20 - but it is also listed in the patch database:


HP-UX: 11.31
HP-UX: 11.23
HP-UX: 11.22
HP-UX: 11.21
HP-UX: 11.20
HP-UX: 11.11
HP-UX: 11.10
HP-UX: 11.04
HP-UX: 11.00






Anyway, don't try all the very old versions, take the December 2006 11.11 version or any newer 11.23 or 11.31 media and install!
