Solution
Obviously LVM has these extents allocated to an lvol which cannot be found... usually, because the lvol's device special files are missing.
Check in the VGs /dev/vgXX directory if you find something suspect, e.g. gaps in the minor numbers.
You could also try to export/import the VG to see what device special files are created for you.
