Error reading device from cmquerycl
cfiux01:/etc/cmcluster > cmquerycl -C cluscfg -c cfi_productie_cluster -n cfiux01>
Warning: Unable to determine local domain name for cfiux01
Error reading device /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s3 0x8
Note: Disks were discovered which are not in use by either LVM or VxVM.
Use pvcreate(1M) to initialize a disk for LVM or,
use vxdiskadm(1M) to initialize a disk for VxVM.
I could not find any answer on this nice forum.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Error reading device from cmquerycl
# what /usr/lbin/cmcld | grep Date
What disk array type is shared between Serviceguard nodes?
Have you created an volume groups on the array? If so, did you vgimport them on the other server?

Re: Error reading device from cmquerycl
A.11.16.00 Date: 08/30/05 Patch: PHSS_33039
There is a SAN shared between the nodes. (EVa3000)
What i did is as follows :
I made an golden image of 1 of the cluster nodes.
This image i restored to a new server. This new server will be added to the existing 4-node cluster.
I threw away the old cluster config and bin files. Then i ran cmquerycl to create a new cluster config file..
Then i run into errors.
I will follow Peter's advice and work on a few errors. I hope i can fix them.

Re: Error reading device from cmquerycl
I added the FQD names in the /etc/hosts file, and as a result Dataprotector stopped working.... DP is very VERY sensitive for host name changes...
So i cannot change the host name (At the moment without FQD). That means the first error cannot be resolved..
About the second error :
Error reading device /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s3 0x8
This error comes from the new node that i want to merge in the existing cluster.
But what does this s3 mean??
This disk /dev/c2t1d0 is the second root disk which i mirrored. Did i forget something?

Re: Error reading device from cmquerycl
I only get the message which i posted earlier...
Btw, i managed to add this new node to the cluster, and is running ok.
The error does not seem a show stopper...
